Researchers tried to answer the most puzzling questions: Does money bring happiness ? To find that the result is not as many think.
According to " The Guardian ", researchers at the University of Zurich in Switzerland have found evidence that money can bring happiness, but what makes people happy is how to spend that money ?
This study was conducted on 50 participants divided into two groups, and each group was asked to undertake to spend a sum of money.
The first group was directed to spend 25 francs Swiss each week on clothing and gifts for others, while the second group was asked to spend money on herself only.
The level of happiness was measured before and after these pledges, to show that those who pledged to spend generously on others had increased their sense of happiness more than those who had spent money on themselves.
Participants were subjected to CT scans to see which parts of the brain were more active during their generosity behaviors.
The experience concluded that, although we are keen to enjoy alone what we have, generosity with others enhances happiness.
The results of this study are consistent with several studies in this regard. The researchers reviewed data in 136 countries and found that spending on others has the effect of "a constant causal effect on happiness"
