that's what happens if the plane door opens in the air !

  Before a plane takes-off, its crew provides guidance on what to do if there is an emergency shortage of oxygen, but people rarely wonder what will happen if an air carrier door opens at high altitudes.

  According to the British newspaper "Independent" , in case the door of the plane opened at height more than nine kilometers, the pressure in the plan will drop quickly.

  Airplane commander Patrick Smith explains if the flight door open while flying at high altitudes means that those who sit close to the exit will find themselves out in space, and the plane may also crash in a short time.

  Adult people remain conscious for 15 to 20 seconds when there is a sharp drop in air pressure, long enough to draw oxygen masks and help passengers by their side.

  A member of PPRUN forum says : if a rapid drop pressure happened, leads to Swallowing the tongue and terrible pain in the ears and 100 fold increase in tooth sensitivity.

  The person loses consciousness quickly and enters the fainting, due to lack of oxygen, and the heartbeat decreases, which increases the probability of death almost certainly.
